ARGENTINA’S PRESENTATION AT PANROTAS FORUM: THE RECOVERY OF CONNECTIVITY

Before the main leaders of the Brazilian tourism industry, Executive Secretary of INPROTUR, Ricardo Sosa, and Commercial Director of Aerolíneas Argentinas, Fabián Lombardo, shared the keys to success in the recovery of Brazilian travellers during 2022.

In full recovery of the tourism levels before the pandemic, Argentina made a strategic presentation at the Panrotas Forum that took place on June 21st and 22nd at the Fecomercio Events Centre in São Paulo, Brazil.

The Executive Secretary of INPROTUR, Ricardo Sosa, gave a positive message to the industry with recent data showing the rapid growth in tourist arrivals. “If we compare May 2022 to May 2019, our recovery is at 63%. And if we only take into account travellers who enter by land, the number rises to 110%,”Sosa said.

The results show the work that has been done regarding the connectivity (new Aerolíneas flights from Brasilia, Curitiba, Porto Alegre, among others), the strong efforts in communication (which includes more than 300 publications in Brazilian media, and a calendar of press trips across Argentina specifically created for influencers and journalists from that country), different roadshows, and also more than 20 digital campaigns in the last six months, with an impact of 190 million prints and more than 20 million views. More than 225,000 tourists have already entered Argentina.”

Ricardo Sosa’s video message was the prelude to the presentation given by Fabián Lombardo, Commercial Director of Aerolíneas Argentinas, who elaborated on the recovery of flight frequencies.

The Panrotas Forum is an event bringing together the most renowned CEOs, directors, and managers of tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, and entities representing the tourism sector. Argentina took part through INPROTUR and authorities from important destinations: Tucumán, Ushuaia, and Salta.
