THE INPROTUR CONSOLIDATES ITS PROMOTION WITH ARGENTINE CONSULS IN THE SOUTH OF BRAZIL

The INPROTUR’s Executive Secretary, Ricardo Sosa, met today the Ministry of Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Argentinian Embassy in Brazil, Rodrigo Bardoneschi, and several consuls of the south of Brazil. The aim was to spread tourism strategies to position Argentina in the regional tourism market in the context of a new phase of the post-pandemic economic recovery.

Consuls of Porto Alegre, Florianópolis, and Foz de Iguaçu, were present in the online meeting together with representatives of the consulates of Uruguayana and Curitiba. The INPROTUR’s Executive Secretary was accompanied by Natalia Pisoni, Brazilian Market Coordinator, Hugo Díaz, Air Transport Advisor, and Ariel Donatucci, Sport Tourism Coordinator.

Ricardo Sosa claimed that “Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande Do Sul, together with São Pablo and Rio de Janeiro, are significant markets for Argentina, especially if we consider tourists who come to our country by land. They all have great potential for our neighbouring provinces. We want to work to increase tourism from the south of Brazil to Argentina in this new post-pandemic reactivation phase.”

The INPROTUR is doing an important job with road transport companies to consolidate land access to Argentinian territory, particularly in those crossings where there is still a poor tourist flow. This strategy aims to strengthen the road transport between Argentina and Brazil.

In addition, the consulates praised the meetings and joint efforts the INPROTUR and consulates are making to implement the promotion strategies of tourism in Argentina. In this line, they put forward several suggestions for inbound tourism of the main Argentinian touristic destinations to be carried out in 2022.
