Through INPROTUR’s promotional work, the TV channel broadcast a special program about golf courses in San Martín de los Andes, one of the major Patagonian destinations in the Province of Neuquén.
Immensity, mysticism, unforgettable landscapes, crystal-clear lakes, legendary mountains, great food. Patagonia, the southernmost region of Argentina, offers this and much more.
In this wonderful area of our territory, south of Neuquén, one of the six Patagonian provinces, lies a true paradise on Earth: San Martín de los Andes. Located by Lake Lácar, the city is one of the major tourist resorts to practice snow sports in winter, but in the summer season it also offers the possibility of going hiking and taking lake tours, among many other options.
A few minutes away from the city is the amazing Chapelco Golf & Resort, which hosts one of the best 18-hole golf courses in the country -the first one in the region designed by Jack and Jackie Nicklaus- which receives a PGA Latin America Tour date each year.
Indeed, for the purpose of further strengthening the Sports Tourism promotion work done by the National Bureau of Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR), San Martín, golf and Chapelco were the stars of Argentina Golf Destination, broadcast last Wednesday February 10 by Golf Channel Latinoamérica.
In the words of INPROTUR’s Executive Secretary Ricardo Sosa, “Argentina is a paradise made up of legendary destinations. San Martín de los Andes with its golf course in Chapelco is one of them. The aim of this TV promotion work is to give these amazing spots visibility, so that world travelers can recognize them and make them their choice to spend a guaranteed dream-like experience”.
The other major player was El Desafío Resort Golf, very close to Chapelco. This 9-hole golf course offers a special feature: it is in the heart of the mountain, and the field, the first one in South America, was built by Australian former world number-one player Greg Norman.
Argentina’s promotion work in Golf Channel is not over. Next March 3, at 10pm (Argentina time), the magic of Bariloche will be the host, to rediscover an unparalleled destination, ideal for drivers and putts.
And when permitted by the health conditions, world tourism will have no doubt that Argentina is the ideal place to enjoy true good life experiences.
